Chairman Lindstrom called the meeting to order and adjourned to the City Council Conference Roam then led the Pledge of Allegiance. ROLL CALL Present: Chairman Lindstrom, Boardmel'l.bers Abramson, Cunningham Absent: Boardmembers Singer and Killough (Killough excused) Also Present: Bill Little, Secretary BOARD ITEMS Further consideration of recycling nroposal by i~. Henry Brown. DJ.scussJ.on of Mr. Brown I s proposal. centers mainly around the process in general and his recently submitted proposals for the mitigating the adverse effects of the process itself. They are found generally unacceptable. Boardmembers Cunningham and Abramson speak against proposal suggesting that another community might be more suitable for developing process. Motion by Cunningham, second by Abramson, to recommend that the CJ. ty abstain from participation in the recycling process proposed by Mr. Henry Brown. Motion passed unanimously by the members present. Board requests Secretary to draft letter to Mr. Brown explaining Board recommendation and reasoning. Chairman introduces Item V-B: Consideration of Recycling Center Site in Northern Portion of CJ.ty. Considerable discussion follows with the merits of a number of sites being examined. Chairman introduces Item V-C: Discussion of context of meeting between representatives of Naval Weapons StatJ.on and EQCB representative regarding l.and- scaping along east side of Seal Beach Boulevard. Discussion of San Gabriel. River Tidal PrJ.sm Therr.J.al Discharges follows with Mr. Abramson being appointed the Board r s liaison to its donor cOJ:lpanies.
