ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY CONTROL BOARD
THURSDAY, AUGUST 23, 1973
REGULAR MEETING
7:30 P.M.

The Environmental Quality Control Bo~d of the City of Seal Beach met in regular
session in the City Council Chambers. The meeting was opened by Chairman Cunningham
leading in the Pledge of Allegiance.

MINUTES
Motion by Harrington, seconded by Smedley to approve the minutes of August 9, 1973.
Motion is unanimously adopted by members present.
BOARD ITEMS
The Chair introduced the first item, Consideration of Appeal, A(EQCB)-1-73, Hirsch - _ -

Discussion follows.among Boardmembers.
Motion by Smedley, seconded by Biscoe to deny subject appeal. Motion is unanimously
adopted. -

SECRETARY'S REPORT
The secretary reported on the following items:
1. Naval Weapons Station Oil Spreading, Jack K. Bryant & Associates.
2. Flight Patterns over Seal Beach.
3. Oleanders along Seal Beach Blvd.
The Board requested the Secretary to report on the following items at-its next -
meeting:
1. Naval Weapons Station Oil Spreading.
2. Landscape Maintenance Ordinances.
