ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
Mr. King reported that there was a serious problem in the Bridgeport
community. The entrance to the city yard is located at the end of
Electric Ave. The heavy equipment used by the City must travel
Electric Ave. to get to and from the yard. Much of the traffic is early
in the morning.
Mr. and Mrs. Schlesser, Mr. and Mrs. Pidancet and Mr. and Mrs. Tindall;
residents of Bridgeport reported that the beach tractors l~ave every
morning at 4-a.m. and that the street sweepers, trash truck and other
vehicles leave at v~ry early hours. Much of the equipment is noisy
and heavy. The noise frequently wakes them up and the. vibrations have
broken a number of toilets in the neighborhood. They also indicated
that the increased traffic in the area was a hazard to the children-in
the neighborhood. They said that the developer and City Official had
in the past promised to relocate the entrance to First St. when that
street was completed.
