The Environmental Quality Control Board of the City of Seal Beach met in regular session in the City Council Chambers, City Hall. SECRETARY'S REPORT The Secretary presented a proposal for a litter pickup drive to be held as part of Clean'.Up Week. Tickets for prizes would be hidden in with the litter in'the area chosen. Each ticket found would be turned in for a small prize. At the end of the day, a lottery would be held to award the grand prize. The Recreation Department would organize the drive. ',,~;'~ " :-;:-.:':-~::' " recommendation be sent to the Recreation Department for concurrenc'e~ ".-- .-. .'~' "".:,:-' e Tne Secretary also reported that the Environmental Impact Report for the trailer park redevelopment is expected soon, and that the E.Q.C.B. public hearing was expected to be on February 26, 1976. The Secretary discussed the progress in the investigation of vacuum sweeping equipment. One demonstration was held on January 7 with others expected later in the month. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS Chairman King requested copies of City Organization charts, showing duties and responsibilities of the City staff. Mr. King also reported that he had had several complaints on water quality from residents in Bridgeport and the Seal Way area. The Secretary to investigate. Mr. King indicated that the litter problem on Pacific Coast Highway was still bad and requested that the Secretary expedite a cleanup. Mr. Knuti indicated that he thought it would be a good idea if E.Q.C.B. got together with the staff of the power plants west of Leisure World. ADJOURNMENT Meeting adjourned at 9:15 p.m. · ~ud.:-
