REGULAR ADJOURNED MEETING
7:30 P.M.
The meeting was called to order ~y Chairman DeForest leading the Pledge
of Allegiance to the Flag.

The Secretary introduced Mr. Lowell Kolb, newly appointed member of
the Board.
MINUTES
Minutes of April 7, 1977, approved as amended.
RESOLUTION 77-7
Resolution honoring Violet Biscoe unanimously approved.
RESOLUTION 77-8
Resolution commending the Seal Beach Naval Weapons Station unanimously
aporoved.
SECRETARY'S REPORT
The Secretary reported on the operation of the recycling center and
on the recent notice to remove it from the Seal Beach Center. Alternatives
were discussed. The Secretary described his conversations with Coast
Property Management, Inc., operators of the Center. The Board approved
removing the glass bin from the Center and attempting tel find a location
in north Seal Beach to use it as a paper bin. The paper bin will be
modified to reduce litter.
The Secretary also advised that the report on Historic Preservation
has been delayeu.
WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS
Gilbert Nelsen presented a written report on historic landmarks in the
southeastern United States. The Board also reviewed a number of
magazine clip~ings of interest on various subject oresented by Mr. /'
Nelsen.

Board requested prenaration of a report and a resolution of support
for A.B. 860.
Mr. Watkinson discussed oarking enforcement problems within the Seal
Beach Center. The Secretary will discuss with the Center1s management.
