Belanger, Director of Public Works SUBJECT: FY 2009 -10 BUDGET AMENDMENT: TWO JET SKIS SUMMARY OF REQUEST: The Seal Beach Lifeguard Department has requested that the City purchase two (2) jet skis, for operational and rescue /life- saving use. BACKGROUND: The Seal Beach Lifeguard Department has been the participant in a program, with a local Honda dealer, where the lifeguards were able to use new jet skis, annually, at a nominal cost. This cost - effective program is no longer available. However, the Honda dealership has offered to sell the two jet skis we currently are using under the old program, to the City.
