Bahorski City Manager Subject: Confirmation of Ad Hoc Committee Resolution and Appointments to the Committee SUMMARY OF REQUEST: 1. Review and confirm the resolution establishing the Ad Hoc Committee on Street and Storm Drain Improvements. Appoint members to the Committee BACKGROUND: At the November 8, 2004 City Council meeting, it was determined that an Ad Hoc Committee should be formed to address street and storm drain problems throughout the City. As stated in the November 8 staff report following establishment of the Committee, Council would appoint the 11 members of the Ad Hoc Committee at the December 13 City Council meeting. As currently proposed, each City Council member will appoint two members from their district and one member at large from the business community to serve on the Committee. Should Council wish to change that process, staff has placed the previously approved resolution on the agenda so that it can be modified if necessary. Staff has revised the proposed meeting schedule and has attached it for Council review. This schedule was revised due to additional information staff has developed since the last City Council meeting. A concern has been raised regarding the Monday meeting date, however, the meeting schedule dates and times can be changed if the Committee Members determine that the day and time of the meeting pose a conflict for the majority of members. Item No_ C FISCAL IMPACT: No fiscal impact at this time. RECOMMENDATION: 1. Confirm Resolution establishing the Ad Hoc Committee 2. Appoint Committee Members ATTACHMENTS: A.
