Sellers, Chief of Police SUBJECT: Police Services Study Quarterly Progress Report SUMMARY OF REQUEST: Council receives and files Police Services Study Quarterly Progress Report. At the August 9, 2004 City Council meeting the City Council received and filed the Implementation Plan for this Police Services Study. Although police staffing vacancies and recruitment elements of the study receive regular attention, much progress on the overall implementation of the study was accomplished in the ten weeks that have passed since August. Of particular significance has been the completion of the Case Management System, resolution of the Animal Control and Animal Shelter issues, as well as forward movement in each of the nine focus areas of the study. City Council previously requested quarterly progress reports regarding the implementation phases of the Police Services Study. The first progress report is included with this Agenda Item.
