Bahorski, City Manager SUBJECT: Supervisory, Professional and Technical Employees SUMMARY OF REQUEST: Adopt the attached Memorandum of Understanding establishing wages and benefits for July 1, 2004 — June 30, 2006. BACKGROUND: The City has met and conferred with the Supervisors and Professional Employees Association. Both parties have agreed to a two year contract, which includes -a 3% across the board salary increase effective the first payroll in July 2004, health insurance cap increases effective January 1, 2005 as follows: a $60 increase for employee only coverage, a $85 increase for employee plus one coverage and an $110 increase for family coverage, a 3% across the board salary increase effective the first payroll in July 2005, a health insurance cap increase equivalent to the average increase to Ca1PERS medical premiums for Orange County effective January 1, 2006 and a $60 increase to the health insurance waiver allowance for both years. FISCAL IMPACT: Approximate impact of providing a 3% salary increase, increases to the health insurance caps ($60 increase for employee only, $85 increase for employee plus one, $110 increase for family) and a $60 increase to the health insurance waiver allowance is an increase of $2,697.55 to the current budget for fiscal year 04/05. Approximate impact of providing a 3% salary increase, an increase in medical cap equal to the average medical premium increase effective January 1, 2006 and a $60 increase to the health insurance waiver allowance is an increase of $2,522.30 to the current budget for fiscal year 05/06.
