Bahorski, City Manager FROM: Lee Whittenberg, Director of Development Services SUBJECT: Adoption of Ordinance 1524, Amending Titles 5 And 9 of the Seal Beach Municipal Code (2004 Edition) SUMMARY OF REQUEST: Adopt Ordinance Number 1524, An Ordinance of the City of Seal Beach Amending Titles 5 and 9 of the Seal Beach Municipal Code (2004 Edition). BACKGROUND: The City Council introduced this ordinance on April 26, and the ordinance is now under consideration for final adoption by the City Council. As indicated in the April 26 City Council Staff Report, staff and the City Attorney will be scheduling meetings with interested utilities regarding the provisions of Title 6, Franchises, and Title 9, Public Property, Public Works, and Building Regulations. Based on those discussions, it is anticipated that additional revisions may be proposed to these . two titles of the Municipal Code. FISCAL IMPACT: None. Adoption of the recommended Ordinance will complete an existing review and revision process of certain portions of the existing Seal Beach Municipal Code that has been ongoing since late 2001. RECOMMENDATION: Adopt Ordinance Number 1524, An Ordinance of the City of Seal Beach Amending Titles 5 and 9 of the Seal Beach Municipal Code (2004 Edition).
