SUBJECT: Administration for the Street Lighting
Maintenance District No. 1
SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Staff requests City Council approve a proposal for Special District Administration of the
Street Lighting Maintenance District No. 1 for fiscal years 2004/2005 and 2005/2006.
BACKGROUND:
Since the inception of the Street Lighting Maintenance District No. 1, MuniFinancial, a
Willdan Company has served as the administrator. Approval of this proposal will
provide continuity in administration for this special district.
The Annual Levy of Assessment for the Street Lighting Maintenance District No. 1 will
proceed in fiscal years 2004/2005 and 2005/2006 as in years' past. MuniFinancial will
review appropriations, compute the assessment for each parcel, prepare the Engineer's
Report, attend the council meeting and public hearing and place assessment on the
County's Assessor's Roll. .
FISCAL IMPACT:
MuniFinancial propose a lump sum fee of $9,500 for each fiscal year payable quarterly
on a percentage completion basis as the work progresses. The fee did not increase from
prior fiscal years. The fees do not impact the General Fund because they are assessed to
each parcel.
