HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC Res 6113 2011-02-28RESOLUTION NUMBER 6113 A RESOLUTION OF THE SEAL BEACH CITY COUNCIL SPECIFYING CITY AGENTS TO ACT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY FOR THE ACCEPTANCE OF FEDERAL DISASTER RELIEF FUNDS WHEREAS, the City of Seal Beach was impacted by the "Winter Storms 2010" and received significant damage and, WHEREAS, to be in compliance with State and Federal guidelines for disbursement and receipt of federal disaster funds, certain individuals are empowered as agents on behalf of the City to facilitate claims and receipt of federal disaster funds; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH DOES HEREBY RESOLVE: Section 1. That the City Manager and /or the Director of Administrative Services and /or the Chief of Police are hereby authorized to execute for and on behalf of the City of Seal Beach, a public entity established under the laws of the State of California, as its agents, this application and to file it with the California Emergency Management Agency for the purpose of obtaining certain federal financial assistance under P.L. 93 -288 as amended by the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act of 1988, and /or state financial assistance under the California Disaster Assistance Act.
