Bahorski, City Manager FROM: Steve Cushman, Lifeguard Chief SUBJECT: Budget Amendment for Prior Year Expenditures in the Surf Class Program Materials and Supplies Account SUMMARY OF REQUEST: That council approves budget amendment 04 -19 for the increase in the Surf Class Program part-time wage and materials and supplies account. BACKGROUND: This past summer season, the Surf Class Program accommodated more students than in year's past resulting in increased revenue. These funds would be most beneficial to the program in the Surf Class Program's wage and materials and supplies accounts, as they will be used to offset start-up costs incurred by the program as well as purchase some much needed new equipment. We are requesting the wage account 034 - 828 -40007 be increased $1,200 and the materials and supplies account 034 - 828 -40702 be increased $1,300. FISCAL IMPACT: There is no fiscal impact to the General fund because the Surf Class program fees cover the increase in expenditures. RECOMMENDATION: Council approve budget amendment 04 -10 for the increase in the Surf Class program wage an/. terials and supplies ounts. -- Steve Cushman, Lifeguard Chief N 1 .
