ORAL COMMUNICATIONS I Mayor Kredell declared oral cOll/lllunications open. Councilmember Vanderstaay requested a vertatim transcript of the public hearinR on the Local Coastal Plan as it related to the Department of Water and Power discussion. Mrs. Vanderstaay's request was approved by consensus of the Council. There were no other oral communications; Mayor Kredell declared oral communications closed. ' ADJOURNMENT Vanderstaay moved, second by Kredcll, to adjourn to Monday, March 30, 1981 at 7:00 p.ID. for further consideration of'the position of City Manager. AYES: Kredell, Laszlo, Seitz, Supple, Vanderstaay NOES: None Motion carried I The meeting adjourned at 5:05 p.m. of Attest: Seal Beach, California March 30, 1981 The City Council of the City of Seal Beach met in regular adjourned I session at 7:00 o'clock p.m. with Mayor Kredell calling the meeting to order with the Salute to the Flag. ROLL CALL Present: Mayor Kredell Councilmembers Laszlo, Seitz, Supple, Vanderstaay Absent: None Also present: Chief Picas cia, Police Department Mrs. Yeo, City Clerk S€.t; 3-30-81 CLOSED PERSONNEL SESSION Laszlo moved, second by Vanderstaay, to adjourn to Closed Personnel Session at 7:02 p.m. Mr. Lee Weber, consultant, joined the Council in Closed Session. The Council reconvened in public session at 7:13 p.m. CITY MANAGER APPOINTMENT I Vanderstaay moved, second by Laszlo, to appoint Mr. Allen J. Parker City Manager of the City of Seal Beach effective Monday, April 6, 1981. AYES: Kredell, Laszlo, Seitz, Supple, Vanderstaay NOES: None Motion carried Mayor Kredell read a brief resume' of Mr. Parker's background and experience, expressed congratulations on behalf of the City Council and introduced the newly appointed City Manager to those present. Mr. Parker stated his acceptance of the position of City Manager and introduced his family present in the audience.
