Mr. Parker reviewed the recommended actions set forth on the agenda, stated the County had requested to be notified at the earliest possible date should the Council wish to implement the tax and explained the costs that will be incurred by the City for County services to prepare for collection of the paramedic tax. Councilman Supple suggested it may be prudent for the Council to consider these items when a full Council is present, and the City Manager stated that if the Council chooses to take no action at this meeting, these items would be included on the July 14 agenda. Mayor Laszlo and Councilman Kredell expressed support for implementing the paramedic tax. Discussion continued. Mr. Parker stated a report relating to SB 99 bonds would be presented for consideration July 14 and explained the budget will stand as adopted June 22nd until such time as it is amended by further Council action. Councilman Supple moved to instruct the City Manager not to submit Resolution Number 3061, which would implement the first steps in levying the paramedic tax, to the County after the next City Council meeting. Councilmember Vanderstaay seconded the motion.
