Ingram, Acting City Manager FROM: Mark Persico, AICP, Director of Development Services SUBJECT: UPDATE MEMBERSHIP TO THE AD HOC GENERAL PLAN / LOCAL COASTAL PROGRAM CITIZENS ADVISORY COMMITTEE SUMMARY OF REQUEST: Update membership to the 15 member Ad Hoc General Plan / Local Coastal Program Citizens Advisory Committee. BACKGROUND: The Ad Hoc committee plays a key role in reviewing and commenting the work of staff and consultants. The committee is comprised of 2 representatives from each Council District, 2 alternates, 1 EQCB member, 1 Planning Commission member and 1 City Council member. FINANCIAL IMPACT: There are no direct costs associated with this item. ANALYSIS: The Planning Commission recently selected Commissioner Jerry Galbreath as the Commission designee. The only vacancy left on the Advisory Committee is a City Councilmember. Former Councilmember Antos was the Council designee. Once the Council appoints a replacement member, staff will work with the Councilmember to schedule meetings and starting working on the LCP and Housing Element. RECOMMENDATION: Ratify the Planning Commission designee and appoint a City Councilmember to the Ad Hoc General Plan / Local Coastal Program Citizens Advisory Committee.
