II ' (City lerk Attest: Seal Beach, Califomia January 30, 1978 The City Council of the City of Seal Beach met in regular adjourned session at 8:00 o'clock p.m. with Mayor Blackman calling the meeting to order with the Salute to the Flag. ROLL CALL Present: Mayor Blackman Councilmen Gray, Kredell, Laszlo, Weir Absent: None Also present: Mr. Courtemarche, City ~mnager Mr. Parrington, Special Legal Counsel Ms. Shelton, Administrative Assistant AGREEMENT - CONTRIBUTION OF FUNDS - SEAL BEACH ASSOCIATES Mr. Parrington, Special Legal Counsel, presented the agreement whereas Seal Beach Associates would contribute $53,600 to the City of Seal Beach for maintenance and improvements of city park and recreation facilities. Gray moved, second by Weir, to approve the agreement between the City of Seal Beach and Seal Beach Associates for the contribution of $53,600 to be used for park and recreation purposes and that the City Manager be authorized to execute the Agreement on behalf of the City. I I I 1-30-78 AYES: Blackman, Gray, Kredell, Laszlo, Weir NOES: None Motion carried RESOLUTION NUMBER 2739 - APPROVING FIRST AMENDMENT - PARTICIPATION and DISPOSITION AGREEMENT - SEAL BEACH TRAILER PARK Resolution Number 2739 was presented to Council by title "A RESOLUTION I OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A FIRST AMENDMENT TO PARTICIPATION AND DISPOSITION AGREEMENT FOR SEAL BEACH TRAILER PARK." By unanimous consent, full reading of Resolution Number 2739 was waived. It was clarified that this amendment was the same as that previously approved by the Agency. Weir moved, second by Gray, to approve Resolution Number 2739 as presented. AYES: Blackman, Gray, Laszlo, Weir NOES: Kredell Motion carried ORAL COMMUNICATIONS Mayor Blackman declared oral communications open. The Council briefly discussed the estimated cost to the Redevelopment Agency for relocation of the Trailer Park residents and the recent sale of the city yard I subdivision lots. Mr. Dawson, Seal Beach Associates, explained some of the predevelopment costs contained in the Amendment and stated that the Coastal Commission was interested in the rent control provisions for the Project and that he anticipated the Project would be considered by the Commission the first part of February. Mr. Parrington reported that the consultant was still involved in interviewing the Trailer Park residents and that relocation should commence as soon as the Coastal Commission acts on the Project. There were no other oral communications; Mayor Blackman declared oral communications closed.
