TO Honorable Mayor and City Council
THRU John B Bahorski City Manager
FROM Doug Dancs, P E , Director of Public Works / City Engineer
SUBJECT SURPLUS PROPERTY
SUMMARY OF REQUEST
The proposed City Council action will surplus and then subsequently donate the City's
remaining stage to the Seal Beach 10 /5K Run, a non - profit organization
BACKGROUND
The City currently owns and stores a small portable stage Throughout the year,
community groups request the stage for events that is set up by the Public Works

beneficial to donate the stage to a non - profit group who would store and make the stage
available to other local groups
FISCAL IMPACT
Donating the stage will make time available for field crews to concentrate on core service
issues such as sewer, water, storm drains and streets
RECOMMENDATION
Upon motion of the consent calendar, it is recommended that the City Council surplus
and then subsequently donate the City's remaining stage to the Seal Beach 10 /5K Run, a
