' WHEREAS, Public Safety Dispatchers e the first and most critical contact our
communities have with police, fire, and emergency medical services; and
WHEREAS, Public Safety Dispatchers are the single vital link for our law enforcement
and fire personnel by monitoring their activities by radio, providing them
with critical information and ensuring their safety; and
WHEREAS, the Public Safety Dispatchers of the West Cities Police Communications
Center have contributed substantially to the apprehension of criminals,
protection of life and property and ensuring the safety of the communities
they serve;'and
WHEREAS, each of our Public Safety Dispatchers has exhibited professionalism,
dedication, compassion, and caring during the performance of their job
this past year. -
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE PROCLAIMED that the City of Seal Beach, a member of
the West Cities Joint Powers Authority, representing the communities of Cypress, Los
Alamitos and Seal Beach, does hereby recognize the week of April 13 -19, 2003 as
NATIONAL PUBLIC SAFETY DISPATCHER WEEK
In Seal Beach and joins in honoring the women and men whose diligence and
professionalism keep our communities and citizens safe.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I, John Larson, Mayor of the City of Seal Beach, have hereunto
set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Seal Beach to be affixed, this
